The Big Bend Environmental Forum and the League of Women Voters of Tallahassee are hosting a candidates' environmental forum on Thursday, October 7 for local government (Tallahassee City Commission: Seat 3; and Leon County Commission District 1 and At Large 2) and the area's seats in the Florida House and Senate and Congress. Participants will have the opportunity to offer questions covering environmental, energy, sustainability, and growth management issues.

The event will be held at Tallahassee City Hall (300 S. Adams Street, City Commission Chambers, 2nd Floor), and will run from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The Forum will be preceded at 5:45 PM by a candidate meet and greet with displays by host environmental and civic organizations with light food being provided. A flyer is available (PDF format). Your attendance and participation are critical because it demonstrates to the candidates that you care about the environment and other quality of life issues affecting Florida's Big Bend.
